I’m so glad Shelly was referred to me — she is the type of client I absolutely LOVE working with. I do appreciate my clients and have no problem bragging on them.
She is a blogger based in Orlando, FL who loves fashion, travel, and family time. And, of course, Disney! Who doesn’t love it… right? Anyway, she came to me with hopes of really giving her brand a complete refresh — she was okay with what was established for her before, but she was ready to take things to a new level.
Her personality and style are very girly and fun, so I wanted to take that into her brand and really show that side of her. I had quite a few constructive suggestions and I always get super reluctant about these… still working on my designer confidence. I knew she would be happy once certain aspects of her brand were improved, but too often I let myself get in the way. I decided to look past it and I was honest about what I thought she should also change, and she was receptive to everything!
The original project included only a website revamp, but her logo really didn’t match the lively aesthetic of her brand. We were able to agree on a logo that she loved and better represented her blog. Once the project came to an end, Shelly asked if I would be willing to edit her posts on a monthly basis, and it’s been great! I’m a grammar Nazi lol and she knows it — I just really admire how much she’s willing to invest in herself.
