Hi, friends! Happy 2021! One of my business goals this year is to engage with you more and to send out meaningful newsletters once a month. Last year, I tried out Mailchimp again — I used to use it back in the day for work and decided to give it a try again, but I wasn’t happy. Since Squarespace released their own email marketing service, I decided to give them a try — I enjoyed the super sleek and minimal design, but it’s pretty limiting and I knew I needed something that suited my business and audience better.

This was important to me because I want to continue growing my list as I create more helpful content and develop freebies. I’ll keep it real with you… I am not the greatest at segments and tagging. I know the importance of it, but it’s just not my strong suit. You can see which of your subscribers are most engaged, what they signed up for, what they clicked on, there’s tons of data automatically captured for you. And, you have full segmentation capabilities!
4 — INTEGRATIONS
I absolutely love the fact that you can integrate your instagram account with Flodesk and include your feed in the footer of every email. It adds familiarity to your emails if you have your feed at the footer of your website and for those subscribers who aren’t already following you, you’re now providing them with another chance for engagement. Other integrations include Shopify [all current and new customers are automatically pulled into a Shopify segment] and Zapier [which includes thousands of apps].

I never really write posts like this, but I really do believe in this service and I’m loving it so far. I’ve been using it for 4 months now and there’s no looking back. I’ve tried constant contact [way back when lol], mailchimp, squarespace campaigns, and nothing felt right.
