Squaremuse review!

Let me just begin by saying how thankful I am for coming across the work of the Squaremuse team. I’ll start with a little backstory…

Although I’ve been designing for years as a side business, I finally took the leap and pursued Simple Blyss full time in August 2019. That leap came with a lot of changes, as you can imagine, and I really wanted to better my skills in order to offer the types of services I hadn’t been able to. A huge part of that was learning how to create websites with a more custom feel. I researched several designers who were incredible at what they did and worked at finding out how they got there.

I came across a few resources, but one that kept coming up over and over was Squaremuse! I checked out their website and immediately fell in love with their amazing work. Squaremuse offers beautifully designed, and of course, custom Squarespace website templates as well as what they call ‘design elements.’ These elements are my favorite because when I’m designing a custom website and have an idea of how I want to display a certain section but don’t know how to code it, I can always bet they’ll have a solution for it. You can purchase individual elements or bundles (which saves so much and gives you a variety to play with).

The first time I purchased an element bundle from Squaremuse I was stumped on something and needed a little assistance. Their customer service is unmatched — I was able to quickly get the help I needed and they even offered to check out the website’s backend to see if further help was required. That is something we can all appreciate because there’s nothing like being stuck after staring at code for hours.

Earlier this year, I worked with a client who only had the budget for branding and not a website. She first decided to design the website herself, but being in this industry for 10+ years now, I knew that wouldn’t be something she really wanted to tackle. I always do my best to explain the value of investing to my clients without ignoring that sometimes they are already investing all that they can. It breaks my heart to see a strong brand not being represented well by a website, so that’s when Squaremuse came in and saved the day.

Based on her business and branding, I was able to suggest a Squaremuse template and she fell in love with it! The template plus my fee for formatting and installing everything fit within her budget and the result was just perfect. She now has an incredible website, fully formatted to fit her brand, and within budget. Since then, I’ve booked 2 other clients with similar budgets who were so excited to know that they’re still able to get a full package within their budgets.

Overall, Squaremuse has facilitated so much in my business and it’s a product that I can trust every single time. I’m able to further customize websites that I design and build, as well as offer an alternative to clients who may not have custom website budgets. Nothing gets sacrificed and everyone is thrilled in the end.
