This may be a designers-only obsession, but I just love a beautiful font. There’s nothing like it!

Every time I engage in any negative conversation about 2020 and I start to promote the idea that this year sucked… I catch myself and change how I approach the situation.

Christmas is in 10 days! Can you believe it? I’m beyond excited and will definitely try to squeeze in as many Christmas activities as I can until then.

So, now we’re in 2014 and I’m in graduate school. As I mentioned in part one of this series, I was fortunate to have a program advisor who really cared and she helped me get an assistantship so I was getting paid from the job and had a tuition waiver.

This journey is pretty familiar to those closest to me… or so I thought. Interestingly enough, there were quite a few friends who had no idea about what I was really going through.

I really should be sleeping right now, but after watching Erykah Badu #verzuz Jill Scott, I was so inspired!

It’s love month! Now, as much as we all hear this, let me be the one to say it again… let’s not wait until a special occasion comes along to love on our partners and loved ones.

This is the second to last monthly update… how is time such a meanie?! I can’t believe I’ll have a one-year-old child in a month!

We’re two months away from a full year on this earth! My beautiful baby boy is now ten months and we’re having a blast.

Nine months in… and nine months out! We’re three short months away from the big one and mama is losing it.

Micah… or should I say mommy’s shadow is 8 months today! When I say the attachment is REAL… I mean it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m in love with how much this little human loves his mama.

Much like my several baby showers, I was fortunate to have more than one maternity photoshoot.

This weekend has been one of celebration! Our handsome man turned seven months and we made it to two years of marriage.

Although this isn’t the most popular topic, ever since I had my baby, I heard more and more women talk about their experiences and how it affected them post-baby.

My baby is 5 months going on grown! The older he gets, the more independent he wants to be. It’s so cool watching him learn more and pushing that to the limit — on the other hand, I need him to chill out!

I get great joy from surprising and gifting those I love. Even when I do things beyond my means, and I do those often, I do it because of how it’ll make them feel — that alone makes me so happy inside.

For the amount of times that I’ve told this story, you’d think I’d be sick of it by now. But, I love reminiscing about the story behind how I brought my little honey into the world.
